Book launch and exhibition - Friday 1 August!

My new release, Chok: Uzbek Architecture in Needlepoint, will be launched at an in-person event in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia.

Chok is the Uzbek word for ‘stitch’. In my book I take you t
Needlepoint work in progress.

This design is inspired by a beautiful decorative tiled panel at the entrance to Abd-al Aziz Khan Madrassa (1652): a beautiful unrestored madrassa (college for students) in the heart of Bukhara’s old town, Uzbeki
Needlepoint ‘Iris in the Wind’ now framed and hanging in its new home- that of an Iris enthusiast in Blackheath, NSW. I used Appleton crewel wool from @morrisandsons on 12 count needlepoint canvas.

Finished size 82 x 60cm.
