Dr Sam Bowker presents: Silk Roads in Myth and History

This lecture reviews the concept of the Silk Road as a pathway for international cultural exchanges over centuries. From the remarkable objects traded by land and sea, to the magnificent architecture and linguistic diversity of the travelers' lands, we ask what the Silk Roads actually were, and could be in the future.

One in a series of three public lectures as part of the Silk Inroads community project, Wagga Wagga, this lecture is delivered by Dr Sam Bowker, Sam is Senior Lecturer in Art History and Visual Culture at Charles Sturt University.

The project is funded by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
